Innerliners (IL) / Inlets
We also manufacture inner liners or inlets as an accessory product for the Metal Cages.
The inlets are used to protect the goods stored in the Metal Cages. They prevent pressing through the bars and the loss of smaller bulk goods. The inlets are made of polypropylene (PP) and are specially manufactured for the desired requirements (type of Metal Cages, etc.).
We offer two types of Innerliners/Inlets
Twin Sheets
Twin sheets are a cheaper and lighter option. However, the hollow chambers are very susceptible to the accumulation of dust and dirt, which can be detrimental to hygiene (food protection). In case the hollow chambers are soiled, cleaning is not possible.
Advantages
- Cheaper
- Lower weight
Disadvantages
- Shorter lifespan
- High susceptibility to dirt deposits in the hollow chambers
- Difficult cleaning
Solid Sheets
Solid Sheets are the more stable and durable version of inner liners/inlets. Due to the smooth surface, these plates can be easily cleaned and they also dry faster. In addition, they have no hollow chambers in which dust and dirt can accumulate. Solid sheets are much more hygienic to use as they are easier to clean.
Advantages
- Long lifespan
- Stable
- Less susceptible to dust and dirt
- Easier to clean
- More hygienic – much better for food protection
Disadvantages
- Slightly more expensive
